Migration of an application on Sharepoint On-Premise 2013 to Sharepoint Online
How we helped the business unit of a large corporation out of a jam in meeting the timely, company-wide requirement to migrate from SharePoint On-Premise to SharePoint Online.
1. starting position
- The existing system is based on SharePoint OnPremise 2013, which is no longer supported by the company’s IT department, meaning that the administrative burden lies with the specialist department. However, the department cannot do this due to expertise and effort.
- Business logic and implementation has been implemented and tested in the legacy system, so it was assumed that it would be fundamentally useful.
- The existing solution is based on technologies that do not meet the current technological standard, which limits access to new solutions and the user experience.
